The Bachelor of Arts in Global Governance offers an interdisciplinary didactic, whose aim is to breed professionals able to face global phenomena requiring legal and economic competences, a wide technical knowledge and skills to manage cultural mediations. National and international political institutions, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, enterprises and global economical subjects seek with more and more interest profiles with inter-disciplinary knowledge: our course satisfies these requests by involving professors from various disciplinary sectors (Arts and Humanities, Economics, Engineering, Law, Medicine and Sciences), selecting them on the base of the excellence of their CV and the innovative nature of their research.

The Course is reserved to a limited number of 40 students, 20 Italian and 20 from foreign countries, in posses of an high-school diploma. Students are selected on the base of the evaluation of their CV, their motivation and their openness to international experiences.The novelty of our approach is not only about the material covered, but also in the organization and the method. Tuition, formal and informal communications between teaching staff and students, and among students themselves, are entirely in English. Thanks to the small number of the students, each of them will have monthly personalized meetings with a personal advisor.

A continuous presence in class is compulsory: the attendance in class is verified daily.There will be mid-term exams, and we organize tuitions in order to make students able to complete all the scheduled exams, as well as the graduation exam, within the considered academic year. The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business and Economics (L-33) is a new program, entirely taught in English, jointly offered by the Department of Economics and Finance and by the Department of Economics Law and Institutions.

The aim of the progam is to provide the necessary tools to address the complexity of the global economy. Our students will master the essential of business and economics. It provides professional training to students in an exciting environment where the interaction between students and teachers is a key value and the student’s needs a real priority. The international framework of the program is designed to make our students competitive and ready to apply to the best schools and the most challenging job opportunities all over the world.

This program involves three academic years (six terms totally). Students are required to gain a total of 180 credits from basic, core and elective courses (147 credits), computer literacy (6 credits), optional courses and other activities (18 credits) – including foreign languages, seminars, internships, etc. – and a final dissertation (9 credits).

The Master of Science in Economics (LM-56) is a two year program, entirely taught in English. It is designed for students who wish to train as professional economists and pursue a career in economic research or in public policy at national and international institutions, universities and consultancy firms.

The MSc in Economics has an excellent track record in enrolling students in Ph.D. programs in top European and US Universities, and it offers a whole set of new courses and opportunities for students interested also in more applied public policy. The course program includes applied courses in development economics, health economics, labour economics, procurement and regulation, law and economics, public economics and public choice, beyond fundamental courses in microeconomics, game theory and incentives, macroeconomics and business cycle, econometrics, stata, matlab and time series. Since 2008 TorVergata’s Engineering School offers a Master’s Degree (“laurea magistrale”) course in Mathematical Engineering (ME). All students with a Batchelor’s Degree (“laurea triennale”) in Engineering, Mathematics and Physics can enroll. Students who still have to start their academic training are advised to enroll in the Batchelor’s Degree course in Engineering Sciences, a novelty of the Engineering School and entirely taught in english.  A ME-student has to choose one of the three specializations in Economics and Finance, Nanosystems and Materials and Structures. The ME-course aims at delivering experts with both an advanced knowledge of mathematical physics and direct experience with concrete applications. This makes them particularly suited to and well prepared for a future career in their specific field of specialization. The ME-course is characterized by the “forma mentis” on which it is based: the student does not only learn to appreciate the principles and basic methods of Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science etc; he also develops the typical sensibility of an engineer, which is of crucial importance when he needs to apply general methods to overcome the specific difficulties of a concrete problem, the accuracy of the desired solution – without neglecting technological aspects – and sustainable investment of time and money.

The purpose of the program is to train graduates with different backgrounds related to the promotion of wellness and health. Particular attention is paid to their problem solving abilities and those related to their evaluations in terms of social and ethical responsibilities; graduates will also learn to assess health risks during trainees’ physical activity and estimate the limit beyond which physical activity becomes harmful. The purpose of the program is to train specialized professionals who will work on fitness and wellness through:

• The basis of functional and physical assessment in relation to the specific characteristics of each person;

• Planning of physical activities and training paths for groups and/or individuals;

• Planning of health promoting learning courses and amateur sport activities;

• Knowledge of the main rules and laws regarding physical activity and the trainer’s legal responsibilities ;

• Ability to recognize and avoid life-threatening situations that can occur during physical activity;

• First-aid procedures and manoeuvres They will also have the expertise to cooperate with medical teams in the treatment and prevention , through physical activities, of chronic-degenerative diseases such as metabolic syndrome, obesity, hypertension , ischemic cardiac disease . The purpose of the program is to train specialized professionals with the following characteristics:

• ISEF (Higher Institute of Physical Education) or equivalent diploma in accordance to law n. 136- June 13th 2002.

• Three-year degree in Motor Sciences and/or Sport/Motor Sciences

• Four or five-year degree in Motor Sciences and/or Sport/Motor Sciences

• Degree in Physiotherapy

• Degree in Medicine or Pharmacy or Biology

• Other degrees in the biomedical area to be evaluated by a special committee.

The programme focuses on historical processes and comparative analysis of European history. It will help students to develop their ability to understand historical problems in a comparative framework by using primary sources and foreign languages. English is the language of instruction and will be accepted at all partner universities, but they offer also lessons and seminars in other languages (e.g. language of the host university).  The MEH offers the opportunity to experience Europe from the perspective of multiple countries, their cultures and languages. Graduates of the MEH will be awarded an M.A. title with a double certificate issued by the home university and the host full member partner university/universities attended by the student.

MEH is a unique, international programme aptly suited for students interested in pursuing careers in international organisations and foundations.  The degree cultivates research, writing, and analytical skills that can be applied to a broad range of careers, e.g. in education, journalism, administration, diplomacy and the cultural sector.

خلاصه از اهداف رشته:

Our mission is to provide our students with the knowledge and tools especially geared towards a biomedical, psychological, social and territorial perspective of the medical profession. The course is characterized by a multidisciplinary and integrated approach in disease prevention and health promotion. The training is primarily patient-oriented involving community-based health centers and hospitals, providing a varied and rich clinical experience for our students. In the curriculum, there is vertical and horizontal integration of the curriculum across all years, bringing clinical cases and challenges into the early years. Integrating clinical and basic science across the curriculum, developing new models for clinical reasoning and engaging students in an in-depth and long-term scholarly experience is also part of our mission.

خلاصه از اهداف رشته:

The admission requirements are based on qualifications and examination.
A total number of 100 places are available, divided as follows:

1. a) 70 available to Italian citizens, EU citizens and non-EU citiziens legally living in Italy,  in agreement with  art 26,of Law n 189/2002;
   b) 30 places are reserved to non_EU citizens resident abroad.

In order to be admitted to the Degree of Pharmacy it is necessary to take and pass a specific test. The test, written and oral, will be held onSeptember 21st 2015.

The admission test to the Master of Pharmacy consists of 60 questions(multiple choice), aimed at ascertaining the preparation on the disciplines of secondary schools provided by the curriculum of the Master in Pharmacy; and an oral exam, aimed at verifying the knowledge of the English language.

Both tests, written and oral, will be held on September 19^th 2015 as follow:

• The first test (written) at the Department of Biology, Ed PP1, Classroom 8 in the Macro Area of Sciences, Via Ricerca Scientifica n. 1-00133 Rome – at 10.00 a.m.
• The second test (oral) at the Department of Biology, Ed PP1, Classroom 8 in the Macro Area of Sciences, Via Ricerca Scientifica   1-00133 Rome – at 4.00 p.m.
