Students can choose to graduate as a biologist or biotechnologist. Both routes take advantage of strongly mutual interaction between the themes of their biology and the most recent acquisitions in the biotechnology field. It follows a course flexible and modern, closer to the current training needs of biologist and biotechnologist and more responsive to demands of the working world.

The course in Biosciences and Biotechnology was held entirely in English. Why this choice? Especially in the training in biology and biotechnology, today more than ever is a strong need to provide graduates with not only knowledge and skills, but also tools and opportunities to mature and live their professionalism in a dimension international.

The Master of Science in Biological Sciences gives in-depth knowledge and skills in advanced most innovative methods in the field of biomolecular biotechnology, with applications in the diagnostic field or nutrition. The student does have the ability to choose between two curricula: molecular diagnostics and biotechnology nutrition and functional food In order to broaden the cultural background of the biologist and specialist to support the mobility and competitiveness of students and graduates in an international context, the course units are taught in English.The second level degree in Biological Sciences offers the student the opportunity to choose between two degree programs (Molecular Diagnostics and Biotechnology, Nutrition and Functional Food), designed to teach the students the most innovative technological approaches used in biomolecular, diagnostic and nutritional biology.

The Physics Division of the School of Science and Technology coordinates teaching and research activities in Physics at the University of Camerino (UniCam). Our course offerings range from freshman seminars to advanced graduate classes. Undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are mentored in research in condensed matter, atomic and laser physics, as well as quantum information and nuclear physics. We enjoy close connections to other Science Divisions including Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and Computer Science. The Physics Division has a strong international program with several established connections with foreign institutions and research centers. The Physics Division has a longstanding tradition and a solid scientific reputation being currently ranked among the best Physics schools in Italy (ANVUR global factor R=1.09 in 2013). The Camerino University, offering remarkable research and teaching infrastructures, as well as valuable student services, is ranked first among the small-scale Italian University (less than 10000 students, according to CENSIS in 2013). The teaching activities ranked second in the Italian CENSIS-La Repubblica 2015/2016 guide and largely the first in center/south Italy (101, being the average score of all Italian Universities 86.6).

The computer science department is a vibrant and young department that is part of the School of Science and Technology. It is located in a very ancient building where history and technology mingle together in order to create a very stimulating working environment. The department is providing the following programmes (i) informatics (3 years); (ii) laurea magistrale MSc (2 years); (iii) Ph.D research. These can be partially performed abroad because of the strong connections (with foreign institutions and research institutes) the department has.Computer science has a strong research background in: modelling, analysis, verification and deployment of distributed systems. The University of Camerino and its computer science department offer remarkable research and teaching infrastructures and efficient student services. Camerino is ranked first among the small-scale Italian University. Computer Science has applications in several fields, that are very different from each other and in constant increasing number. UNICAM proposes the Master Degree in Computer Science (Laurea Magistrale) to allow graduate students in Computer Science to specialize their knowledge, competences and skills. Different specialization programmes are proposed within the Master Degree together with the possibility to gain, in addition to the UNICAM degree, a Master degree awarded by a partner University.
